A NUMBER of chickens died in an accidental blaze at allotments in Wombwell last night.
Firefighters from Dearne station arrived on Summer Lane, at 10.35pm, to tackle the blaze. They left the scene at 2am.
A number of sheds were well alight and some chickens died during the incident.
