A GROUP of friends have raised over £7,500 for the daughters of a close friend.
And the friends are making their final preparations ahead of the Sheffield 10k this Sunday.
Friends and family of Thomas Miller, from Worsbrough, have come together after his tragic death in July from the rare genetic disorder X-linked cerebral adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD).
Now they are taking part in a final push to raise funds ahead of Sunday’s event.
They have already raised £7,605, which will go towards looking after Tom’s two daughters – 12-year-old Daisy and Poppy, who turned eight on Monday – to support in their upbringing and pay for a family holiday Tom had planned but never got the chance to take.
