NATIONAL Foodbank Day will be recognised in Barnsley at the start of next month.
On Friday, September 6, Barnsley Foodbank Partnership will be acknowledged alongside others across the country for the work they do to support individuals experiencing crisis.
A number of events are set to take place as part of the day.
A spokesperson for the foodbank said: “We’ll be holding a food drive at Tesco Stairfoot, where we’ll have volunteers at the front of store all day to hand out leaflets and collect donations from customers.
“It would be great to see you there.
“If you’d like to come and volunteer on the day, please get in touch via volunteer@barnsley.foodbank.org.uk for the available slots.
“We’re encouraging everyone to get involved throughout the week, whether you want to create a fundraiser, hold a food drive or even do some volunteering.
