TRAFFIC ROUND-UP: Delays are expected in a number of areas due to roadworks in the coming weeks.
MOTORISTS have been warned to expect delays in Cudworth for the next fortnight whilst work take place. Barnsley Road will see temporary traffic lights in place from today until September 1.
Carriageway resurfacing works are the reason for the delays.
TEMPORARY traffic lights will be in place in Hoyle Mill on Monday night. Motorists have been told that delays are possible whilst the lights are in place on Pontefract Road between 7pm and 11pm. Yorkshire Water are responsible for the work.
SHAW Lane in the town centre will remain closed until August 25. It will be closed from the junction of Dodworth Road to Derby Street whilst Barnsley Council undertake resurfacing works. Motorists have been told to expect delays.
MOTORISTS have been warned about the possibility of delays in Wombwell whilst work takes place. Temporary traffic lights will be situated on Valley Way from Monday until the following Sunday. New traffic signs and road studs are to be installed at the site.
EMERGENCY gas repair works in Brampton are set to cause delays for motorists this week. Brampton Road will see temporary traffic lights in place on Tuesday between 8am and 6pm. Cadent are responsible for the works.
A CAWTHORNE road will be closed later this week whilst Barnsley Council undertake resurfacing works. Horn Croft will be closed from August 21 to 4.30pm on August 26. Motorists have been warned to expect delays.
