MP STEPHANIE Peacock welcomed the arrival of new Mayor of Barnsley John Clarke last week.

The Barnsley East representative attended the mayor-making ceremony at Barnsley Town Hall last Friday.

Stephanie said: “I was pleased to welcome Coun Clarke.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the outgoing mayor, Mick Stowe, for all the work that he has done for Barnsley over the past year.”
