SANTA and his speedboat are out and about again this weekend raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society.
They have journeyed through the streets every Saturday throughout December and will make their final tour tomorrow (Christmas Eve).
The route takes in Shafton, Cudworth, Monk Bretton and surrounding areas.
They have been to Riverside Care Home at Monk Bretton this morning to see residents and hand out presents.
Everything they do is in their limited spare time and at their own expense with no funding except for donations from local businesses for items like lights.
This year they set up a fundraising page for the Alzheimer’s Society with a target of £500 and have already reached over £700.
It has become a Christmas tradition with ‘the elf’ Nicky Morrall organising the event and Wayne Dyson towing the boat with several friends helping out.
Their wives man the tracker that they put up live every week on their Facebook page and also escort behind the boat.
Santa will be setting off on his speedboat around 3.30pm tomorrow.
