A DOG owner who failed to provide adequate care to his pet will be sentenced next month.
Sheldon Moore, of Harold Avenue, Barnsley, admitted to charges of neglect in which he failed to act in the best interests of Belle, his German shepherd.
The 30-year-old did not provide an adequate diet or adhere to daily medication and regular bandage changes, which resulted in pressure sores and pain.
He pleaded guilty and was bailed ahead of a pre-sentence report’s completion.
Moore will next appear at Barnsley Magistrates’ Court on February 27.
