MEMBERS of Stairfoot Ward Alliance celebrated the installation of a defibrillator in Kendray last week.
The lifesaving equipment – which was installed at Rae House on Thursday – was funded by the alliance and is one of three defibrillators that will be installed across the ward over the coming months.
Phil Hollingsworth, service director for communities at the council, said: “The Stairfoot Ward Alliance are proud to be able to put up new defibrillators throughout the community.
“We understand how important and timely they can be in saving lives when it really matters.
“We’re working with volunteers to be a guardian for this one installed at Kendray Police Station, and it's great that the community wants to be involved and support this."
