BARNSLEY Round Table members have recently made another donation to a local group.
The group handed over £500 to Andy’s Man Club Barnsley (Honeywell) to help with their work locally.
A Round Table spokesperson said: “ A portion of this went towards new winter merchandise. Now the brand can be represented whilst greeting attendees out in the cold months! The remaining amount was sent to AMC head office, to fund the vital work that keeps the charity running behind the scenes.
Andy's Man Club is a men's suicide prevention charity. Founded in 2016 after the tragic suicide of 23-year-old Andy Roberts, it aims to reduce male suicide rates through peer-to-peer support.
The charity operates a network of over 200 weekly support groups across the UK. These groups provide a safe and non-judgmental space for men to open up about their mental health struggles. Led by trained facilitators, the sessions typically involve a series of questions that encourage open and honest conversation.
Andy's Man Club emphasises the importance of breaking down the stigma surrounding men's mental health and encouraging open communication. By providing a supportive environment, the charity aims to help men feel less isolated and more comfortable seeking help.
