BARNSLEY Council’s new bin calendar is now available for residents to view.

There may be changes for some locals, including to the Christmas and New Year service.

Coun James Higginbottom, cabinet spokesperson for environment and highways, said: “Our bin calendar design makes it easy for residents to see at a glance when their bin days are.

“Just search for ‘Barnsley Council bin calendars’ to find it.

“If residents would like a paper copy of their annual bin collection calendar, they are available on our website to download and print at home.

“Alternatively, they can visit their local library, and a member of staff will assist them in printing off a paper copy.

“Thank you to everyone for their continued efforts to recycle in Barnsley.

“Last year, you helped us to recycle 6,400 tonnes of blue bin recycling, this is the equivalent of 110 trees.

“Together, we can work to increase this figure and make our borough cleaner, greener, and more sustainable.”
