BARNSLEY Council has extended its late-night safety bus scheme in the town centre.
Located on Cheapside, the safety bus is available between 9pm to 3am, and includes mobile phone charging facilities, a safe space to sit and wait for friends or call a taxi, as well as a place to report incidents to the police and get advice and information from the team.
It will now run every Saturday until the end of March.
A council spokesperson said: “We're really pleased to be able to offer this scheme in Barnsley to support people to feel safe and supported during late-night hours in our town centre.”
