MORE than ten deliberate blazes were started in Barnsley this week.
Six deliberate fires were started across Barnsley on Sunday night.
Fire crews from across the borough tackled the blazes - starting at 7.15pm and ending at 11.55pm.
They ranged from rubbish fires to a fence blaze - all six of which were deliberate.
The fires were tackled in Hoyland, Grimethorpe, Athersley South, Thurnscoe, Goldthorpe and Wombwell.
Firefighters rom across Barnsley tackled four deliberate fires on Tuesday night.
A fire crew from Cudworth station tackled a grassland fire on Fish Dam Lane in Carlton at 7.55pm.
Two hay bales were set alight on Wenworth Road in Swinton, forcing firefighters to extinguish the blaze.
Dearne station firefighters arrived on Deigtonby Street in Thurnscoe at 9.30pm following a field fire.
Finally, shortly before midnight, a crew from Cudworth station tackled a deliberate rubbish fire on Hunningley Lane in Stairfoot.
