A BARNSLEY MP has paid tribute to former Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott who died last Wednesday, aged 86.
Barnsley North MP Dan Jarvis said that it was very sad news.
“He was a titan of the Labour movement and vital to Labour winning a historic three terms in government,” said Dan.
“As the MP for Hull East for four decades, John was a fierce advocate for the North.
“Along with countless others, I will miss him. Deepest sympathies to Pauline and his family.”
