WITH only one week left a local care home is doing a final push to receive gifts that can help out lonely residents this Christmas.
Thornhill House in Darfield has collected 198 shoe box full of gifts since they began their appeal just over a month ago.
These boxes are donated to residents in care homes across the borough, who have no family and will be spending the festive period alone.
Now, with only a week left before they’ll have to turn down donations, the team are doing one final push to do all they can for the elderly in the borough.
