A NEW Penistone group aiming to bring people together to be proactive in helping the environment will hold their first meeting next month.
The Penistone and Stocksbridge Energy Information Group are volunteers with experience of home energy efficiency and renewable energy.
Their aim is to inform, inspire and help like-minded people to implement their own practical energy-related schemes.
A spokesperson for the group told the Chronicle: “Our plan is to grow a network of people who use these technologies, and also people who are willing to share their experiences and knowledge across our community to help others save money on their energy bills and cut carbon emissions.”
The group’s first event will be on November 11 at 7pm in the Penistone Leisure Centre.
