ALMOST 85 per cent of adults in Barnsley have had at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

Latest figures show that a total of 172,685 people across the borough have been vaccinated - equating to 84.3 per cent.

Almost three quarters of adults have also been fully vaccinated against coronavirus, with hundreds getting their second dose every day in Barnsley.

A total of 157,125 have received both doses - bringing the total of vaccinations given to 329,810.
