BUSINESS owners across the borough have been warned to remain vigilant after an attempted burglary at a Higham trading estate.
On Tuesday at around 8.40pm, officers were called to building on the Metro Trading Estate, on Barugh Green Road, following reports of an attempted break-in.
There were believed to be three offenders.
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “It is believed the offenders attended the property in a transit van and attempted to gain access through the shutter doors.
“The offenders fled the scene after being seen by recording equipment and the property’s alarm activating.
“Response officers attended and neighbourhood officers are continuing patrols and reassurance within the area.”
