A DARTON-BASED theatre group is raising money for a Community Public Access Defibrillator (CPADS) which will be situated in the village.
Darton Darby and Joan and the Nova Theatre Group, which is based at the club, are hoping to raise the £2,500 necessary to provide a defibrillator in Darton.
The village as yet does not have a defibrillator which could help to save a life in an emergency. To help raise the money the group will be holding a summer fair at the club where the Yorkshire Ambulance Service will be in attendance to explain the benefits of a defibrillator.
They will also be hosting a race night and are appealing for companies to sponsor a race on the night. The summer fair will be held on June 22 and the race night will be held on July 12.
