TOBY Tyke, Barnsley council and volunteers spent Friday April 20 clearing up Barnsley centre.
The group spent the day picking up litter, cleaning grafitti and painting parts of Barnsley town centre in a bid to keep the area clean.
The group cleared grafitti off the back of buildings on Peel Parade, and cleared the rubbish off the road.
Barnsley council took to Twitter to remind their followers of the #EverybodyThink campaign, launched to encouraging recycling and throw away rubbish.
On Twitter the council said: "Litter, graffiti and fly tipping spoils our environment and costs the council money to clear up. Volunteers have been busy in the town centre today tackling it - let’s all do our bit to keep Barnsley clean."
