APPLICATIONS for community groups wanting to take part in this year's Mayor's Parade are now open.
This year's theme is 'Celebrating The Olympic Year' and it will be open to floats, classic cars and walking groups.
The route will start from lower county way car park and takes in Regent street, Eldon Street, Mayday Green, Cheapside, New Street, Wellington Street, Peel Square, Market Hill, Church Street, back along Regent Street, finishing back in the lower county way car park.
The deadline for entries this year is June 22, further information from towncentreservices@barnsley.gov.uk.
