BARNSLEY fast food superhero Munchie Man has been nominated for an award.
Paul Appleby, of Intake Crescent, Dodworth, launched his business in February taking orders for people who didn't want to pick McDonald's.
His entrepreneurial spirit has been recognised and has been nominated as start up of the year in this year's Proud of Barnsley awards.
Now he also delivers KFC, Dil Raj at Dodworth, Hot Jacks at the Alhambra, fish and chips from Woody's and Urban Flavour at Mapplewell.
He delivers food to his customers in his specially-adapted Munchies van which has equipment inside to keep the food warm.
"It's absolutely fantastic that I've been nominated, I'm surprised and shocked," said Paul.
He said things were going 'extremely well' and was making up to 150 deliveries per week.
