A PUB which has stood for almost two centuries could be demolished to make way for a new development.
The Butchers' Arms on High Street, Monk Bretton, has been derelict for some years after closing as a pub and has been vandalised and set on fire on several occasions.
Now a planning application has been made to Barnsley Council for the building to be demolished.
A doctor's surgery and pharmacy with five flats above could be built on its site.
Those wishing to object to the demolition can write to Barnsley Council.
