A BARNSLEY youth club has had to cut the number of nights it opens and rely on staff who have lost their jobs to continue as volunteers after its funding was axed.
Gr8 M8s, in Thurnscoe, has lost lottery funding which means project manager, Ian Ball, and assistant Wendy Cuthbert have lost their jobs - but both have agreed to stay on as volunteers.
Ian said the group is now looking for alternative funding and more volunteers and added that it has had to cut the number of nights it opens.
