BARNSLEY College students took part in a simulated emergency incident designed to provide hands-on experience in responding to major incidents.
The simulation involved a road traffic collision, where students adopted the role of uniformed protective services and responded to 999 calls.
The exercise aimed to enhance the students’ practical skills and helped prepare them for real-life emergencies.
Participants were tasked with managing the scene, providing first aid, securing evidence, and coordinating with other emergency services.
Kelly Dixon, Public Services Teacher, said: “We believe that practical simulations are crucial for developing the competencies required in protective services. This exercise will not only test their knowledge but also their ability to work under pressure and make critical decisions.”
