A BARNSLEY man has spent Christmas in jail following his arrest for drink driving.
Grant Brown, 33, of Tuscany Gardens, Barnsley, was arrested on October 18 2024 for drink driving on Summer Lane.
He was charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit for alcohol, driving whilst disqualified, and driving without third party insurance.
Brown pleaded guilty to all three charges at Sheffield Magistrates' Court on October 19.
On December 23, at the same court, Brown was jailed for 16 weeks. He was also banned from driving for three years and two months and ordered to pay costs of £239.
