SANTA will be delivering presents in record time this year after swapping his trusty old sleigh for a speedboat.
You’ll see him gliding around the streets of Cudworth, Grimethorpe and Shafton on Saturday evenings spreading Christmas cheer – and it’s all in the name of charity.
Kim Dyson and husband Wayne travel with Father Christmas himself Nicky Morrall and his wife Jodi – and have done for the last four years.
Kim said: “It all started in lockdown in 2020 and it’s just carried on from there.
“On a Saturday night we get the speedboat out – which is decked out in Christmas decorations – and go around Cudworth, Shafton and Grimethorpe.”
The group, along with Pete Jones, bought the speedboat in a bid to spread a bit of cheer across the community – and they’re raising money for local charity BSARCS.
“It’s worth it to just see the smile on children’s faces,” she added.
“We’re hoping to raise £500 for BSARCS. Last year we managed to raise £700.”
