AWARD-WINNING father and daughter filmmakers Dean and Rebecca Sills have releases the trailer to their latest film.

The pair have now finished all their location filming for Laurel and Hardy’s Yorkshire Adventures – including a shoot with Graham Ibbeson in Barnsley – and will now complete scenes at home to ‘drive the story along’.

The trailer for the film was released yesterday.

Dean said: “We have started editing the film and already edited a few scenes.

“Hopefully the film will premiere at the Laurel and Hardy UK Convention next May in Harrogate.”

Rebecca’s recent film, Regeneration, is also screening until 2025 at the National Coal Mining Museum.

It has recently been screened at Rotherham United’s New York Stadium and at Wentworth Woodhouse.

Dean added: “Our Laurel and Hardy film will surprise a few people with all the amazing Yorkshire connections including Barnsley’s very own Graham Ibbeson, who sculptured the famous Laurel and Hardy statue in Ulverston.

“Speaking of Ulverston, the house where Stan Laurel was born was the home of his grandparents who happened to be from Yorkshire.

“So we have many connections back to God’s own county.

“It’s been fun filming our first feature documentary and we can’t wait to share it next year.”

Rebecca said: “My dad and I have loved meeting many wonderful people – we can’t thank them enough.
