BARNSLEY has been named as the cheapest place to buy a new-build house in the whole of Yorkshire.
Experts at Modunite have analysed Land Registry data to find the local authorities offering the cheapest new-build homes in England.
The analysis revealed that the average new-build property in Barnsley sold for £214,353 – making it the cheapest place to buy in Yorkshire.
It was also ranked as the eighth-cheapest place in the entire country.
