MAJOR roofing works will take place at Penistone Town Hall next month.
The scheme is part of the council’s Principals Towns and Local Centres programme.
The works, which are programmed to be completed by the end of the year, will help to future-proof this much-loved and historic building.
A council spokesperson said: “There will be temporary effects on the adjacent car park, including reduced capacity and the suspension of the usual one-way access system.
“This is to accommodate the site compound for the roof works and a smaller compound relating to separate internal maintenance works.
“Thank you for your patience while these exciting works take place, and apologies for any convenience.”
