A COUPLE celebrating their diamond anniversary admit that they ‘don’t always like’ each other but their love for one another ensures they stay together.
Enid and Ken Wade from Wombwell who are aged 80 and 82 respectively celebrated their 60th anniversary yesterday.
Even after all this time, the loving couple have held onto the original Chronicle article which announced their wedding and describes Enid’s ‘short dress of white lace over silk with a fitted bodice.’
“It makes me feel old,” said Enid.
“But it will be nice – my family are planning things so I’m sure there’ll be quite a few surprises.”
