THERE is a risk of medication shortages in Barnsley, a report has revealed.
The report, which will be discussed by the South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board this week, states there is a risk of a medication shortage due to increase in demand.
Supply issues could also prevent appropriate treatment, the report added.
“To communicate deployment of serious shortage protocols and additional response, there is a co-ordinated sharing of out-of-stock information in the event of sudden shortages,” it said.
