THE Grassroots Sports Academy have been supporting residents at Dearnlea Park Care Home.
The academy have been providing free fitness classes at the Thurnscoe home in a bid to keep residents active whilst improving their mental and physical health.
Cian Everard from the service also completed a charity boxing match in their honour, raising a total of £390.
Wendy Dale, the activities co-ordinator at the home, said: “They have been raising money for our residents and to be able to offer free sessions to all Barnsley care homes.
“They are an inspiration and they’re doing valuable work within care homes in the Barnsley area.”
