A BARNSLEY primary school has been rated ‘good’ by Ofsted.

Oxspring Primary School, based on Sheffield Road, currently has a total of 135 children on its roll.

At its latest inspection, Ofsted graded them as ‘good’.

A report states: “Pupils attend school regularly.

“They enjoy learning and playing in the company of their peers. In lessons, pupils are attentive and work hard.

“At social times, they enjoy playing games with friends or using the range of equipment available to them.

“Adults model how to join in with games and activities as well as modelling positive behaviours for pupils.

“Pupils respond well to this and reflect these positive examples in their own interactions.”
