A CHARITY night in aid of Barnsley Animal Rescue Charity will take place next month.
It will be held on June 7 at Rotherham United’s New York Stadium – and medium Linda Sheppard will be on hand to speak with those in attendance.
A raffle will also be drawn on the night, with all the funds being sent to BARC.
Joan Jenkinson, who has helped support the event, said: “BARC have been rescuing animals for 29 years, mainly cats, dogs and rabbits.
“Animals get stressed in kennels and settle much better in a loving home till a permanent home can be found.
“The problems are extortionate – vet bills and the rising cost of living means people are surrendering their pets.
“Most rescues are bursting at the seams and sadly many are struggling to the point that they have had to close down.”
