A Christmas motorbike light parade which has become an annual event takes place tomorrow..
It is the fourth annual Christmas motorbike light parade in Barnsley where bikers and trikers ride through the town in fancy dress, including as Santa Claus, elves and reindeer.
The parade will begin at Chloe's Crust Cafe on Laithes Lane at 5pm and conclude at 8pm.
The route will go through Athersley, New Lodge, Staincross, Mapplewell, Darton, Kexborough, Barugh Green, Wilthorpe, Gawber, the town centre, Monk Bretton, Cundy Cross, Lundwood, Cudworth, Shafton, Brierley, Grimethorpe, Royston and Carlton.
Organiser Andrew Self will lead the convoy with his wife June, followed by dozens of riders.
Last year, 122 riders took part in the parade and raised more than £3,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support – and the turnout is expected to be higher this year.
Andrew said: "It's got to be done right and for everyone to be kept in a single so it can be very awkward.
"It will be spectacular when the lights are turned on with a long, single file of riders with hundreds of people lined down the route to see us.”
