TEENS who are eligible for their Covid vaccine will receive a text to remind them to book the vaccine.
Anyone aged 16-and-over are now eligible for the vaccine, and teens will receive a text as well as a letter to urge them to get jabbed.
If you do get a text, and you're not sure it's genuine, remember that the NHS will never ask for credit card details, your pin or banking passwords, or copies of documents that prove your identity such as driving licences or passports.
A spokesperson for Barnsley Council said: “People aged 16-17 are receiving letters and text messages inviting them to their Covid-19 vaccine at a walk-in centre.
“Give yourself the best protection from serious illness caused by Covid-19, and let’s get back to doing the things we love safely.”
