THIS year’s Barnsley in Bloom competition winners have been announced.
Back in April, Barnsley Council encouraged youngsters to get creative both at school and whilst they were at home.
The competition was split into three different age categories - those aged six and under, kids between seven and 11, and those who are between 12 and 16 years old.
The infant category winner was five-year-old Esther Morrow.
The junior category winner was Neve Gray, aged seven.
The winner in the senior category was 12-year-old Norah Williams, and the Mayor’s Favourite went to nine-year-old Joseph Dugdale.
Coun Caroline Makinson, mayor of Barnsley, said: “I would like to congratulate everyone who’s entered this year’s competition there were so many great entries, and the decision wasn’t easy.
“Well done to everyone for being creative and sharing some great artwork with us you should all be really proud.”
