DODWORTH Ward Alliance wants to help residents to feel more connected with their neighbours and has developed a fund to help get community projects off the ground.

The Small Sparks Fund is available to anyone across the Dodworth Ward to help get two neighbours involved in community schemes.

If you have thought about setting up a bingo group, or creating activity packs, all you need is your idea and two willing neighbours to get involved.

A spokesperson for the ward alliance said: “With a New Year, comes new hope and fingers crossed, lots of fresh ideas.

“Despite the latest lockdown and a very hard start to the year, we know that our amazing communities continue to find new, amazing ways to look out and support one another.

“We hope the Small Sparks Fund will encourage our local residents to think of new, innovative ways to make people feel more connected and lift community spirit.

“You just need a great idea, lots of enthusiasm and a couple of likeminded neighbours to bring your idea to life.”
