BARNSLEY boxer Josh Wale has announced that for every ticket he sells for his next fight, he'll donate £10 to the family of fellow fighter Scott Westgarth who tragically died at the weekend.

Brampton lad Josh takes on Ukashir Farooq at Doncaster Dome on April 13 in the third defence of his British title.

Scott, who lived in Penistone, died in hospital on Sunday after he was taken ill following his win over Dec Spelman, a fight which also took place at Doncaster Dome.

Josh wrote on Facebook: "I'm defending my British title topping the bill at Doncaster Dome on April 13. It will be the first boxing show following the tragedy that happened to Scott Westgarth.

"It's a hard and cruel but beautiful sport. I've not got the words to describe what his family and friends must be going through at this sad moment in time.

"After a meeting with my manager, I've decided to donate £10 off every ticket I personally sell to Scott's family to help them out at this heartbreaking time.

"RIP champ."
