A BARNSLEY mum and daughter chopped off over 30 inches of hair so that wigs could be made for sick children.

Clair Brealey, 30, and daughter Ailee Brealey, ten, of Manner Avenue, Goldthorpe, had their long locks trimmed for Little Princess Trust - which provides real hair wigs for people who loose hair through cancer treatment.

Ailee had 17 inches cut off and her mum had 16 inches cut off after being inspired by grandma Pauline Jones of Thurnscoe, who lost her hair because of cancer treatment.

Clair said: "Her hair was really long - down to her bum. Ailee was determined to do this. My mum was there, it was quite emotional."
