A NUMBER of changes are being made to bus services in Barnsley next month following customer requests.
Service 20 will be diverted to serve Hoylandswaine village and service 31 will provide Shafton Green with a link to Cudworth and Barnsley.
Crown Avenue will still be served by service 32.
On services 1, 6, 11 and 66 the pre-summer school holiday timetable will be reintroduced.
The timetables on services 12, 43 and 44 will be revised during the afternoon peak period to improve punctuality.
A new daytime service 48 will operate hourly between Pontefract and Upton. This will partially replace service X28 which is being withdrawn.
Between Pontefract and Hemsworth services 28 and 48 will operate every half-hour.
On service 42, the 6.50pm Doncaster to Scawsby journey will be replaced by a 7.02pm departure on service 42A.
On service 218, the Monday to Friday 5.15pm departure from Barnsley will be retimed to 5.20pm to improve punctuality and coordination with other services.
On services X20 and 219, the timetable will revert to that which applied before the temporary timetable for roadworks in Doncaster was introduced - with the exception of some minor changes to improve punctuality.
There will also be timetable changes to improve punctuality on the X19 Barnsley to Robin Hood Airport.
Operator Stagecoach Yorkshire is introducing the changes from Saturday, September 5.
