WORSBROUGH Common Primary School have been commended for fantastic French classes.
Year 5 children and teachers are celebrating after their innovative and imaginative language classes were recognised at the eTwinning National Awards Ceremony.
At the awards French teacher Vikki Bruff and her aspiring linguists were praised for their outstanding collaborative work on eTwinning project - toute l’anee.
The project, which has lasted all year, involved using Skype to link Worsbrough’s Year 5 class with their partner school, L’école Gambetta-Cambrai.
The two classes have been in regular contact, teaching each other songs and finger rhymes in French and English, and performing them together, all via Skype.
Vikki said: “Talking live with the children in France has given the learners a real purpose and enthusiasm to develop their language skills and we’re so proud of their achievements."
