POLICE have admitted a missing Barnsley man could be anywhere in the UK after an unsuccessful two-week search.
Despite extensive enquiries across the country, including in London and in West Yorkshire, James Stephenson, 40, is yet to be found.
He was last seen at around 10.15am on March 18 when he left the Cambian Oaks Hospital in Sheffield Road, Barnsley.
He told staff he intended to go shopping in the Huddersfield area, but never returned.
Since then, there has been a confirmed sighting of Mr Stephenson getting on a train in Leeds and getting off the train in London. It is believed he caught a train back to West Yorkshire.
Mr Stephenson is described as having ginger-coloured hair and is approximately 5ft 8ins tall. When last seen, he was wearing a dark overcoat with a grey hooded top underneath and jeans.
Anyone with any information on Mr Stephenson’s whereabouts should call South Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 589 of March 18, 2014.
