A GROUP of Dearne firefighters will walk 16 miles in full kit next month to raise money for charity.
The trek is expected to take just under six hours and will see them travel through Swinton, Rawmarsh, Parkgate, Rotherham Town Centre, past Magna, Meadowhall, Sheffield City Centre before finishing at Sheffield Children's hospital.
The group will be raising money for Sheffield Hospital Charity and will be setting off on Monday October 7 at 10am from Dearne fire station and are hoping to reach Sheffield Children's Hospital by 4pm.
A South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: “If you see them out and about on the day, don't forget to wave and say hi!”
