THE newly-refurbished Barnsley Healthcare Federation Priory Centre will open its doors for the inaugural family fun day next month.

The free-entry event will take place at the centre, on Pontefract Road, on September 7 between 10am and 6pm.

The day will feature a wide variety of games, stalls, live music, and food - as well as a number of talented performers including Molly Jane, Jake EB Music and Mista Twister.

James Barker, CEO for the centre, said: “We’re extremely excited to be able to showcase BHF Priory Centre and welcome the local community to our events venue.

“There will be a bouncy castle, archery, and a rodeo bull challenge with a prize for the winner, this event is the perfect day out for all the family with activities suitable for all.

“We look forward to seeing everyone on the day.”

Natalie Latham, who has organised the event, added: “We hope this event demonstrates how the facility has changed over the last few months and is now facilitating a wide variety of community events.

“The family fun day is the first event leading into our autumn programme which includes our Oktoberfest event, showcasing German food, live music, and games.”
