CHANGES have been made in Barnsley Hospital’s emergency department to make facilities more dementia-friendly.
Following a visit from the Barnsley Carers Forum – whose members have current or past experience of people living with the illness – a walk-round event resulted in handrails being installed in toilet facilities.
A hospital report said: “The team continue to attend Barnsley Carers Forum and provide updates on continuous improvements.”
