A POLICE investigation has been launched after a man was hospitalised following an assault in Barnsley.
At 1.17pm on Wednesday, police were called to reports of an assault on Oakwell Vale.
It is believed a 41-year-old man was assaulted by an unknown man and woman.
A police spokesperson said: “The ambulance service was called to the scene and the victim was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries which are not considered life-threatening or life-altering.
“A scene was established close to Oakwell Vale as CSI attended.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
