EARLY bird tickets for this year’s Locke Park Charity Bonfire and Fireworks Display have gone on sale today.
Taking place on Saturday November 2, there will be two firework displays this year.
The first is a small, child-friendly firework display at 7pm, which will be set off before the bonfire is lit. The second is the main event which will be later on in the evening, after the bonfire has got going.
This event is organised and run by a team of volunteers from Barnsley Round Table with the sole aim of raising money for local charities and good causes.
Profits from the event are donated to Barnsley-based charities and good causes and so the money raised does not leave the local area.
The event consists of a funfair with food and drink stalls (no alcohol), a large bonfire built out of unusable donated fire doors and a 15-minute fireworks display.
Gates and funfair open at 6pm.
Small child-friendly fireworks at 7pm.
Bonfire lighting is 7:15pm.
Fireworks display is 8pm.
