RESIDENTS who have experienced antisocial behaviour in Oakwell have been invited to share their views at two police meetings.

Increased police patrols have been pencilled in over recent weeks and engagement stands will be held outside The Red Shop, on the stadium’s grounds, on Friday (July 5) from 12noon and July 12 from 2.30pm.

A police spokesperson said: “We’ve increased our patrols and visibility within the Oakwell area this month due to recent reports of issues around antisocial behaviour and drug abuse.

“Teams from across the force, including our mounted department, have also joined us to offer a greater police presence and provide reassurance to the residents.

“Our local PCSOs will be holding engagement stands outside ‘The Red Shop’ where they’ll be happy to give advice and support in relation to any questions that people may have.

“We’ve created a community survey to give residents the opportunity to provide feedback around their experiences with antisocial behaviour.”
