A PROFESSIONAL basketball coach has teamed up with Barnsley Sports Academy to develop its team.
Ariel Parrucci has played and coached at all levels across the globe – including in the UK, Italy and Argentina.
Over the last ten years he has coached in a number of leagues including with professional team Sheffield Sharks – and he’s currently the head coach at Sheffield Hallam University Men’s Basketball Club.
He said: “I want to help Barnsley College develop a basketball programme that increases participation and promotes development and performance pathways for all students.
“I’m passionate about creating development opportunities for young people to further progress and achieve their potential and I hope the academy will help to positively impact many students’ lives in the years to come.”
